It is that time of year again!  The 13th annual NLGA Picnic planning has begun.  Come join us!  This picnic is for you and your hounds! It is to be a day filled with fun events, shopping, food, laughter and comradery! 

NLGA is still in need of donations for the raffle and auction.  This is our biggest fund raiser of the year and we need your help to make it happen!  We are still llooking for volunteers the day of our event.  If you have donations or could volunteer for an hour or two please contact Jennifer Karth gdkjlr@comcast.net  or Donna Barr guber2nac@aol.com

Northern Lights has located a couple of dog-friendly hotel/motels near the picnic site. If you’re coming in from out of town with your ‘guest of honor’, give one of these properties a call.  We'll see you at the Picnic!

Food ~ Games ~ Contests ~  Costume Contest, where the competition is stiff and imaginations run wild!  Put together your funniest, cutest, or craziest greyhound costume and take center stage for the judging.  The audience will be the judges.  Dress to impress!

The Gilley Girls Dancing Greyhounds ~ Taking center ring at the NLGA 13th Annual Picnic will be the world-famous Gilley Girls Dancing Greyhound Comedy Review.  The Gilley Girls will perform one spectacular show, with the encouragement of Kathleen and "Gil" Gilley, at 1:15 PM on the grassy stage.  You have to see 'em to believe 'em.  Can your greyhounds dance, jump, leap, retrieve, hop, and speak?  Well the Gilley Girls can, and more!  See the Gilley Girls attempt a greyhound world record five-dog leap into the air!  Don't miss the fun of the Gilley Girls Dancing Greyhound Comedy Review!

Lots of Shopping! ~ One of the most anticipated activities at the NLGA Annual Picnic is shopping!  This year will be no exception!  We have put together a group of vendors who promise to have all of the latest in greyhoundwear and peoplewear.  This is also your chance to refresh your NLGA wardrobe and add new items to it.  You'll also be able to stock up on every greyhound related essential, including art, jewelry, books, the 2011 Celebrating Greyhounds calendar, and more.
