Volunteers for Northern Lights Greyhound Adoption are always needed and appreciated. There are many opportunities to volunteer . . .
Meet-and-Greet One of the most common ways to reach the public is to host a Meet and Greet. Typically held at pet supply stores, a Meet and Greet is an opportunity for the general public to see, touch, and learn all about greyhounds and adoption opportunities. A table is supplied with Northern Lights greyhound information and brochures. We can get you set up or you can contact your local pet store to set up your own Meet and Greet.
For more information about NLGA Meet and Greets please contact: Kari Keller, Meet and Greet Coordinator, at 612-310-0765 or stamper_fool@hotmail.com.
Foster a Friend Northern Lights is looking for people willing to open their hearts and their homes to assist in our fostering program. The Foster Family Program teaches and trains newly retired racers all about life in their new home. This short stay gives the greyhound a chance to learn all the "ins and outs" and you make a new friend! Food, medical care, and a crate are provided. The Foster Family Program makes it easier for the adoption family so they can enjoy their new addition right away.
